Hildegard “Gil” (Bocke) Ristenpart

Hildegard “Gil” (Bocke) Ristenpart, age 96, died in her home in Quincy, Illinois, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009. She was born on March 24, 1913 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Bernard and Emma (Hacker) Bocke. In 1937, she married Erwin Ristenpart in St. Patrick Church in Kankakee, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1988.

Hildegard attended St. John the Baptist School. She was a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church (now Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church), St. Mary Altar Society, the 60-and-Over Club, Ladies of Charity, Sacred Heart League, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Hildegard “Gil” loved her faith and her family. She and her husband traveled extensively world-wide and loved to entertain. Her yard and flower garden were her joy. She was a lovely, gracious lady who lived a long and blessed life and will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Survivors include:
TWO SISTERS: Sister Mary Annette, O.P., of Springfield, IL, and Sister Mary Elise, O.P., of Chicago, IL;
EIGHT NIECES & NEPHEWS: Richard Beger of Springfield, IL, Virginia Morris Droz of Wood Dale, IL, Thomas Morris of Kokomo, IN, John Morris of Charlotteville, VA, Mary Morris Cousino of Hixson, TN, Joe Bocke of Quincy, Mary Ann Bocke Vahle of Quincy, and John Bocke of Wausau, WI. Many grand nieces and grand nephews also survive.

Hildegard “Gil” was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marie Bocke Beger and Gertrude Bocke Morris, and three brothers, Anthony Bocke, Joseph F. Bocke, and Al Bocke.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Monsignor Michael Kuse. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament School Fund or to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE. www.dukerandhaugh.com
