Herman “Mike” Schorn, age 55, of Liberty, IL, died on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in his home. He was born on November 23, 1961 in Quincy, IL the son of Frank Schorn & Donna (Wild) Riggs. Herman had previously worked at Wright’s Tree Service.

Herman loved animals. He had dogs and cats. He raised chickens, turkeys and ducks. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to have BBQ’s for his family. He also was a master tinkerer and was able to make and fix things for his family and friends.

He is survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Donna Riggs and her husband Vern of Quincy
HIS SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Lanessa Schorn
THREE CHILDREN: Derek Clark and his wife Brandy; Ashley Schorn Neal and her husband Steve and Clinton Schorn.
STEP CHILDREN: Austin Moore and Jordan Moore
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN
TWO SISTERS: Dana Hidy and her husband Ronald and Katherine Schorn.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 until the time of the services at 7:00. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
