Helen M. Schmitt, age 90, of Quincy, died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Timber Point Healthcare Center. She was born on August 24, 1928 in Hannibal, MO the daughter of John W. and Ester (Rhodes) Mozingo. Helen married Donald Schmitt on July 3, 1947 in St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her on death on May 1, 2015.

Helen worked at Motorola and cleaned houses and offices. She liked needlepoint and to embroidery. Her family and her work were important to her.

Helen is survived by her children and their families: son, Dave (Cindy) Schmitt, Breanna (Josh) Johnson and Brandon (Kayla) Schmitt; son, Mike (Carol) Schmitt, Matthew (Trisha) Schmitt, Levi (Ally) Schmitt, Aaron Schmitt and Leah Schmitt.
Great grandchildren: Benjamin and Elijah Johnson, Faelyn, Auberon and Finn Schmitt.
Great-great grandchildren: Mariah, Ava, Jocelyn, Luke Schmitt and Bentley Schmitt.
Nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jeremy Schmitt, her brothers and sisters.

Private services will be held at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
