Hazel Dalice Bowman

Hazel Dalice Bowman, age 88, of Fulton, MO, formerly of Quincy, IL died on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Fulton, MO. She was born on March 16, 1933 in Golden, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Christina (Heinecke) Akers. Hazel graduated from Golden High School. She married Orville H. Bowman, Jr. on February 16, 1952 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Hazel enjoyed being a housewife and a mother. She also worked at Quincy Motorola, Doc’s Air Park in West Quincy, Missouri and Quincy Speaker. Hazel was an active member of Parkview Church. She sang in the Church Choir. She also liked to read her Bible and be in the Lord’s service. Hazel also enjoyed playing canasta.

She is survived by her children: Pamela (Jack) Price of Warsaw, MO, Christena (Michael) Baehr of Quincy, IL, Nancy (Ted Groner, Fiancé) Ingalsbe of Fulton, MO and Betty Guthrie of Ursa, IL.
Grandchildren: Brock (Leah) Price of Oklahoma City, OK, Nicole (Cody) Niles of Hallsville, MO, Michelle (Bob) Lange of Quincy, IL, Michael (Melissa) Baehr, Jr. of Quincy, IL, Jamie (Kevin) Miller of Dorsey, IL, Benjamin Baehr of Quincy, IL, Jeri (J.B.) Smith of Quincy, IL, Traci Powell of Greenville, TN, David A. Daly of Columbia, MO, Tiffany Daly of Mokane, MO, Jessyca (John Carinder) Ingalsbe of Ashland, MO, Shyann Ingalsbe of Fulton, MO, Crayton (Amanda) Rost of Quincy, IL, Cruz (Dakota) Mixer of Golden, IL, Carly (C.J.) Henson of Quincy, IL and Jordan (Amy) Routt-Guthrie of Quincy, IL.
45 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Orville, Hazel was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Wendell (Angie) Akers, Dale (Laura) Akers, Glen (Louise) Akers, Dorothy (Norman) Hill, Clarence Akers, Jr. and Wayne Akers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of the services at Noon. Memorials may be made to Parkview Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I have know Hazel for 38 years since my youngest daughter was a baby. Hazel was amazing lady. She liked peanut butter kisses. I am going o miss her. . My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Rest In heavenly Peace Hazel.
