Harry Moore, Jr.

Harry Moore, Jr., age 73, of Quincy, died on Monday, January 14, 2019 in the Good Samaritan Home. He was born on April 26, 1945 in Hadley, IL, a son of Harry and Mary Alice (Cobb) Moore, Sr. Harry married Carol J. Niehaus on July 4, 1976 in Olean, NY. She survives.

Harry was a longtime mechanic at Fierge Auto Parts until his retirement in 2010. He continued working as a mechanic part time. He absolutely loved cars. Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Carol and four children: Tracy Moore of Quincy, Timothy Moore of Lewisville, TX, Jenelle Moore of St. Louis, MO and Kristin Loos of Quincy. Three grandchildren: Seth Moore, Claire Loos and Madison Loos. One sister, Donna Campbell of Quincy; one brother, Jesse (Dory) Moore of Fowler. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Harry was preceded death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 3-6 p.m. at Emsland Hall, 1517 North 8th Street, Quincy.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Harry Moore Memorial Fund, c/o Carol Moore

    Carol, Janelle, Kristin I am so sorry for your loss. Harry was a wonderful man a great husband and a very good father. I will always remember his jokes when I would come over for coffee. Love you all

    If there was EVER a man you wanted in your life it was Har-bear! The kindest soul with always a smile. We were blessed to have had him in our lives.
