Harold F. Wegs

Harold F. Wegs, age 78, of Bonansinga Drive, Quincy, died on December 3, 2011 in his home. He was born on March 23, 1933 in Mt. Sterling, Il the son of Frank & Gladys (Flynn) Wegs.

Mr. Wegs was a carpet installer in the Quincy area for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a life member of the North Side Boat Club and also greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Rebecca Proske and her husband Rick of Quincy and Steve Wegs and his wife Lori also of Quincy.
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Nicholas Proske, Rebecca Gosnell and her husband Derek and Jesse Wegs.
TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Daustin Gosnell and Noah Gosnell
ONE SISTER: Betty Jansen and her husband Gene.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: his twin brother Harry Wegs and Robert Wegs.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until the time of the services at 7:00. Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Food Pantry.

    Steve, our thoughts are with you. Family is the greatest thing but so painful when we have to say goodbye to one. Memories can help ease the lose and time will take care of the rest. We’re here for you. Dick and Lavada Crane
