Gregory P. Buckman

Gregory P. Buckman, age 46, of 2627 Northridge Drive, died on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 12:30 PM in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on November 3, 1963 in Quincy the son of Ernest A. and Charlotte (Timpe) Buckman. Greg attended St. John Catholic and quincy Notre Dame High School, graduating in 1982. He graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City, MO in 1984. From there he pursued a career in electronics at AT&T in Dallas, TX for 2 years. He then attended SIU in Carbondale, IL working towards his degree. He returned to Quincy and attended John Wood Community College and Quincy University. He enjoyed reading, swimming, golf, fishing, frisbee golf, darts, and listening to music.

He is survived by his parents,
2 BROTHERS: Stephen W. “Steve” Buckman and his wife Dottie, and Paul E. Buckman.
2 NIECES: Audrey Stutsman and Kayla Campbell
1 GREAT NIECE: Cassie Campbell,
AN AUNT: Anna Mae Timpe
AN UNCLE: A. Ralph Timpe
and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Joel Buckman, his grandparents, William A. and Myrtle E. Timpe and Stephen Benedict and Josephine Elizabeth Buckman and several aunts & uncles and 5 cousins.

Services will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and a memorial mass at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a parish prayer service at 6:00. Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospital Behavioral Health Services, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to Quincy Notre Dame.
