Glenn E. Seliner

Glenn E. Seliner, age 85, of Quincy, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in his home. Mr. Seliner was born in Quincy on May 5, 1931 to Frank and Fannie (Sherman) Seliner. He was the youngest of five boys and one girl.

Mr. Seliner attended Quincy public schools and graduated from Quincy High School. He married Dolores Ott on October 27, 1951. He served in the military during the Korean Conflict. He was a painter and decorator and worked with stain glass for over thirty years.

Mr. Seliner is survived by his wife, Dolores, six children: Mary (Jim) Brockett of Bloomington, IL., Barbara (Larry) Stoll of Quincy, Angela Lien of Nevada, Iowa, Carol (Dave) Albee of West Palm Beach, FL, Jerry (Jeannie) Seliner of Quincy and Patty (Vern) Loeffler of Camp Point, IL, ten grandchildren: Stevie Curry, Tim, Joe and Christian Lien, Kristy (Matt) Brown, Crystal (Shane) Livengood, Christina (Jeremy) Fletcher, Gerry Seliner, Brandon (Liz) Williams and Ryan Williams, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, John Seliner of Lilburn, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Fannie Seliner, and three brothers: Warren, Frank and Arthur.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be made to R.S.V. P. or Blessing Hospital Cancer Center.
