Gerald R. Hibbert

Gerald R. Hibbert, age 80, of the Timber Point Healthcare Center, formerly of 2714 Cedar View, Fowler, IL, died on Sunday, February 5, 2017. He was born on September 15, 1936 in Camp Point, IL the son of Arthur & Maymie (Huddelson) Hibbert. He married Judy Coulson on April 6, 1963. She survives. Mr. HIbbert was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Hibbert worked for Titan Wheel starting in 1965 and retiring in 2001.

He enjoyed watching western TV shows and NASCAR. He loved to sit on the front porch while watching the grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
THREE SONS: Gerald Hibbert, Jr. and his wife Tisha of Fowler, IL; Joseph Hibbert of LaPraire, IL and Jason Hibbert also of LaPraire.
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Kristi Wells and her husband Danny; Kody Hibbert and Kory HIbbert.
FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Karli, Easton, Taylor and Austin Wells.
ONE BROTHER: Richard Hibbert and his wife Betty
ONE SISTER: Jeanette Hibbert.
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Kenneth and Roger Hibbert and a sister: Mildred Baker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery with military rites conducted at the cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Jerry. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I know him and dad are catching up now.
