Gerald L. “Jerry” Schulze, age 65, of 2021 Sycamore, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in his home. He was born on July 31, 1949 in Quincy the son of Charles & Ruth (Sass) Schulze. Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Christian Brothers High School. Mr. Schulze was a retired Autobody Technician working at both Hilbing Autobody and Peters Autobody over the years. He was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church. Jerry served in the United States Army.

Jerry was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jerry was also a car enthusiast, loving to go to car shows, tinkering with cars, and helping his friends and family with their cars.

TWO CHILDREN: Brad Schulze and his wife Buffy of Quincy and Stephanie Sedelmeier and her husband Aron of Ewing, MO
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Oakley Schulze; Sydney and Cooper Sedelmeier.
ONE STEP-GRANDCHILD: Samantha Mixer.
ONE BROTHER: Michael Schulze and his wife Gloria of Coral Springs, FL
HIS TWIN SISTER: Jean Holtshouser and her husband Ronald of Quincy.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 9:15 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Requiem Mass being held at 10:00 AM at St. John Anglican Cathedral. Interment with military rites at Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Dialysis Unit at Blessing Hospital or to St. John Anglican Cathedral.
