Gerald “Jerry” Stump
Gerald Stump, age 65, of the Illinois Veterans Home, died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 5:15 p.m. in Blessing Hospital at 2:15 PM. He was born February 26, 1952 in Big Neck, IL a son of Charles S. and Aldene (Fuller) Stump.
Gerald served in the U.S. Army from 1972 – 1989. He was of the Methodist faith. Gerald was a member of the American Legion and the Rocky Point Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being outdoors.
Gerald is survived by: Two Brothers, Arthur Stump, and Marion (Margaret) Stump both of Quincy. One Sister, Arleen Meyer of Loraine. And a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veteran’s Home with military honors to conducted. Funeral arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.

I want to just say how sorry I am for your loss. I was married to Jerry for 20 years, all through his time is the Army. He was a very dedicated soldier. He will be greatly missed. RIP my best friend.
