Gerald Wayne Giesing, age 74, of Quincy, died on Friday, December 6, 2024 in his home. He was born on May 21, 1950 in Quincy the son of Albert and Rita (Terwelp) Giesing. Gerald was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School. Married Linda Krutmeier Ludwig of April 30, 1988. She survives.

He worked at Prairie Farms for a number of years, retiring in 2013. He then later worked at Farm and Home Supply.

He enjoyed hunting, cutting wood and a cold beer.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Eric (Amanda) Ludwig, Amy Hudson, Kyle (Katie) Ludwig and Kaleena (Josh) Greenwell.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Landon and Sydney Hudson, Johanna, William and Charlotte Ludwig and Rylee and Leo Greenwell.
SIBLINGS: Carol Mock, Diane (Jack) Winking, Rick (Debbie) Giesing; and Steve (Diane) Giesing.
SISTER: IN LAW: Theresa (Terry) Stark
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Gerald was preceded in death by: his parents, and siblings Donald Giesing along with his wife Rosie; Jackie Giesing and Theresa Giesing in infancy and a brother in law: Jerry Mock.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or to the ‘We Care’ Society at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
