Gerald “Gerry” Lee Moore

Gerald “Gerry” Lee Moore age 78, of Sunset Apartments Quincy died on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in his home. Gerry was born in Quincy on January 24, 1940, a son of James H. and Rose (Kartwright) Moore.

Gerry most recently had worked as a painter at Litteral Speedrack until his retirement. While in high school he was a member of the Drum & Bugle Corps. He went on to serve three years in the U.S. Army where he completed Pole & Lineman School.

Gerry was a proud 25-year member of Narcotics Anonymous and a sponsor for many. His pastimes included fishing, hunting, and playing cards with his card group.

Survivors include his children: Troy Moore and his wife Stacy Turnbow Moore; Todd Moore and his wife Michelle of Florida; Tonya Loball of Decatur, IL; a brother Mike Moore and his wife Norma of Fowler, IL;
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jim, Melvin and Darrell Moore and a sister, Shirley Moore.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private inurnment will be in Sunset Cemetery with military honors to be conducted.
