Gary Meyer
Gary Robert Meyer, age 52, of 1223 Horne St., Quincy, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in his home. He was born May 16, 1960 in Quincy, a son of William Everett & Virginia Ruth (Daniels) Meyer.
Gary attended Unity High School in Mendon, IL.
He was employed as bar manager/bartender at Spring Lake Country Club, B & R’s Tavern and other locations over the years, retiring in 2004 due to illness.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons, Logan, Charlie and Parker Meyer.
He is survived by:
ONE SON: Brandon Lee Meyer and his wife Stephanie of Quincy
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Logan, Charlie & Parker Meyer
TWO BROTHERS: Bill Meyer and Gerald Meyer and his wife Arleen, all of Loraine, IL
THREE SISTERS: Linda Gallaher and her husband Ralph, Cathy Walsh and her husband Tom, all of Loraine and Jackie Puff and her husband Ed of Stockton, CA
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. James Daniels. Interment will be in New Loraine Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made To the Family. www.dukerandhaugh.com
So sorry to hear about your loss , I knew Gary through Quincy Country Club he was such a good guy. He always made people laugh. My sympathy goes out to you all.
