Franklin T. “Butch” Bowen

Franklin T. “Butch” Bowen age 67, of 625 Cedar Street Quincy, died on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 7:25 p.m. in Sunset Home. He was born October 23, 1945 in Quincy, a son of Earl and Nora Louise (Heck) Bowen. He married Linda Sparks on September 21, 2001 in Quincy and she survives.

Butch worked as a union laborer for 45 years prior to retiring. He had worked as a commercial fisherman with his dad and brother in his youth.

He was a graduate of Quincy High School. Butch was of the Baptist faith. He liked hunting and fishing, going to the “boat” and being a jokester.

In addition to his wife, Linda, survivors also include his two daughters,
Margaret Rehfeldt and Lorretta Thomas both of Quincy;
step-children, Linda Sue Young of Hardin, MO; Lorena Hernandez and Donnie Mason both of Quincy; Trena Hoyt of Barry; Clarence Finley and Shane Finley both of Quincy and Lori Burdette of West Point, IL.
A sister, Clemith Maddox; a brother Henry Bowen both of Quincy.
Grandchildren, Zachery Tuter; Matthew Thomas, Jeremy Bowen, Precious Thomas, Antonia and James Benninghoff, Patrick West, Steven Masterson, Brooklyn and Zoeie Finley; Stacey Tipton, Stephanie Maston, Anthony Colamatteo, Misty Little and Michael Burgtorf.
Great and Great-Great Grandchildren also survive along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Disseler. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
