Frank Edward LeSeure
Frank Edward LeSeure age 85, of 634 Pawn Ave. ,formerly of 1715 Chestnut St.Quincy, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2010 in Sunset Home. Frank was born August 11, 1925 in Marshall, IL a son of Harry and Caroline (Wirth) LeSeure. He married Yvonne “Eve” Armstong on November 14, 1944 in Springfield, IL and she survives.
Frank was retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Co. where he worked as a Repair Foreman form May of 1951 until his retirement in March of 1983. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942-1946.
Frank was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He was a former member of the church choir and Glee Club. He was a 50 year plus member and past officer of the Elks Lodge #100. Frank was a longtime member of South Side Boat Club. His interests included boating and traveling.
In addition to his wife Eve, survivors also include:
a son, Jerry LeSeure and his wife Betty of Columbia, MO;
daughters, Renee Liebig and her husband Gary of Omaha, NE;
and Bonnie Lansing and her husband Mike of Quincy;
a brother, Harold LeSeure and his wife Jo and a sister, Edith Cape all of Springfield, IL.
Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Warren and Bernard LeSeure,
and two sisters Alice Bush and Virginia Willard.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Michael Kuse. Private inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials to Quincy Notre Dame Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
