Frank Dee Reddick
Frank Dee Reddick age 70, of 720 Sycamore, formerly of 611 County Club Heights Apt. 133, died on Wednesday, (2-8-12) in Blessing Hospital. Frank was born June 7, 1941 in Loraine, IL a son of Charles Owen and Laura Jane Frances (Tate) Reddick. He married Virginia Day Ward Reddick on November 30, 1963 in Quincy’s Nazarene Church.
Frank was a construction worker and a member of Labor Local 919, retiring in 1990.
Frank was of the Protestant faith.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a sports fan who liked watching baseball and football. Frank’s grandchildren and the time he spent with them, was his greatest joy.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Alexander and her husband Scott of Quincy; Deana D. Turner and husband Donald of Florida; Beverly Stice and her husband Buzz Stice of Quincy and Minnie Davis and her husband Brian of Golden, IL;
10 grandchildren, Krishelle, Phillip and his wife Amber; Adrienne, Curtis, Zachary, Natasha, Traxton, Tristyn, Joshua and Ginny; 3 step-grandchildren, Elysa, Amy and Amanda;
7 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Step-Great Grandchildren;
2 brothers, Lawrence Reddick of Colorado and Ernie Reddick and his wife Barb of Quincy;
3 sisters, Eugenia Love and her husband Leonard of Keithsburg, IL; Laura Cunningham and her husband Bobby of Florida; Elaine Smith and her husband Wilson of Quincy;
3 aunts, Ruby Jacob of Galesburg, IL; Clara Reddick of Taylor, MO and Sandy Reddick of Hannibal; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Donald Reddick a sister-in-law, Dorothy Reddick and a a grandson, Takoda Buzz Stice.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Church of the Nazarene located at 16th & Madison Streets. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home, and from 12:30 until the time of services on Saturday at the church.
