Francis “Bud” Briscoe

Francis “Bud” Briscoe, age 68, of Quincy, died on Friday, September 9, 2011 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 11, 1942 in Quincy, the son of Leroy Briscoe and Ruby Davis Briscoe. Bud was a cost estimator for Hollister-Whitney Elevator Corp for numerous years until his retirement. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by:
ONE DAUGHTER: Tracy Briscoe Huber and her husband Leroy of Quincy
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Cody Harrison, Carlye Harrison, Kira Harrison and Abby Massey.
THREE SIBLINGS: Sharon Straci and her husband Ron of New York, New York; Kenny Briscoe of Peoria, Arizona and James Briscoe also of Quincy.
Numerous nieces nephews and other relatives also survive.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Boyd. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of the services at 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Quest Stables.

    Our deepest sympathy to the entire Briscoe family. We have been friends with Butch since the mid 1960s. We have had many good times together and will miss him. May God grant you peace during the dark days ahead. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless each and every one of you.

    I am sorry for the loss of Butch. He was a great guy. My father and him were great friends. I am very appreciative of him. He helped me several years ago to get a job at Hollister Whitney. He will be sorely missed. May GOD be with you. Rick, Laurie, Matt, and Emily Hibbert
