Frances P. Butler

Frances P. Butler, age 77, of Ewing Mo, died on Thursday, October 8, 2009 in her home. She was born on November 6, 1931, in Mound City, Missouri the daughter of Ennis and Pauline (Williams) Grubb. Frances married Herbert Butler on May 12 1949, in Shelbyville, Missouri. He preceded her in death.

Frances was a cook at the Lewis County Nutritional Center in Ewing Mo. She attended Mt. Olivet Church in Taylor, Mo. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking.

Survivors include:

One Son: Daniel Butler and his wife Nancy of Quincy
Two Daughters: Susan Garner and Mike Smith of Ewing, Mo.
Dorothy Hines and her husband Jay of Maywood, Mo
Four Brothers: Dean Grubb and his wife Earlene of Shelbyville, Mo. Kenneth Grubb and his wife Bev of Mexico, Missouri. Charles Grubb and his wife June of Monroe City, Gary Grubb and his wife Brenda of New London, Mo.
One Sister: Marilyn Lesan and her husband Rex of Leon, Iowa.
One Son -In- Law: Roger Gerdes of Camp Point, Illinois
Seven Grandchildren: Amanda St. Juliana, Jayme Hickerson, John Garner, Matt Gerdes, Andrew Gerdes, Brittany Hines, J.W. Hines
Seven Great-Grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Paula Gerdes, one brother Clarence Grubb.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Martin to officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Mt. Olivet Church.
