Frances F. Upschulte

Frances F. Upschulte, age 99, of St. Vincent’s Home, formerly of 158 Lexington, died on Thursday, December 29, 2011 in the Home. She was born on December 1, 1912 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Frank C. and Florence (Schwartz) Little.

She married Robert G. Upschulte on May 5, 1936 in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1992.

Frances was a member of the Church of St. Peter. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Mary Lou Upschulte of Quincy, IL, Margie K. Sheffler and her husband Larry of Quincy and John R. Upschulte and his wife Debbie of Palmyra, MO.
BROTHER IN LAW: Eldred LaHeup of Campbell, CA
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Troy Sheffler and his wife Lori, Todd Sheffler, Dawn Whelan and her husband Rod, Denise Rigg and her husband Wendell, Scott Upschulte and Brad Upschulte and his wife Alicia
FOURTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Landon Stice, Marley Sheffler, Madison Sheffler, Justin Sheffler, Ashley Sheffler, and Autumn Sheffler, Tyler Houston, Paige Houston, Blake Houston, Shauna Houston, Levi Rigg, Kaitlyn Rigg, Darren Rigg, and Curtis Rigg.
TWO GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Carter Stice and Logan Stice.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was also preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Upschulte, a son in infancy; a great grandson, Evan Sheffler; a brother: Gerald Little and two sisters: Velma Treese and Darlene LaHeup.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Msgr. Leo Enlow. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Home.

    Sending sincere condolences on your loss. I have many fond memories of visiting, picnics, playing cards, watching state basketball tournaments, New Year’s Eve, etc. with your family when I was a child. May God bless you all!
