My mother was a first cousin of Frances. When she was a young girl and her dad was still living, the Herman & Anna Koch Winkeljohn family would walk from 12th & Vine(College) to the Joe Koch family home on Chestnut for visits. Joe Koch was the younger brother of Anna. He was the male witness at Herman and Anna’s wedding. So, my mom (born in 1908) and Frances (born in 1911) played together for many years of their youth.
Our sympathy to her family.
