Frances Ann Schulte

Frances Ann Schulte age 95, of Quincy died on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:44 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. Frances was born on March 8, 1913 in Quincy, a daughter of Godfrey and Frances (Peters) Wilde. She married Frank N. Schulte on June 29, 1939 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1973. Frances was a 1927 graduate of St. Mary’s School and a graduate of Musselman’s Business College.

Frances worked at the Roman Catholic Cemetery Association for 22 years retiring in November of1996. She was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Frances was a member of the Sacred Heart League and sent the greeting cards for the league for many years. She was also a member of the choir at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Frances greatly enjoyed time she spent with her family and friends. She played bridge and attended card parties for over 60 years. An avid genealogist, she had traced her family’s history back several hundred years.

Survivors include five children: Sr. Mary Jo Schulte, O.S.F. of Springfield, IL; Sr. Rose Miriam (Anne), O.P. of Venice, IL; Steven Schulte and his wife Kathy of St. Peters, MO; Mark Schulte and his wife Judy of Quincy; Roger Schulte and his wife Colleen of St. Peters, MO and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Schulte and her companion Gary Johnston both of Quincy.
Grandchildren, Ellen Eikel and her husband Randy of Lake St. Louis, MO; John Schulte and his wife Kolleen of Foristell, MO; Matt Schulte and wife Shannon of St. Peters, MO; Nicole Kuhlman and husband Jeff of Springfield, IL; Chris Schulte and wife Christina of St. Charles, MO; Lisa Schulte and fiance John Greene of Springfield, IL; Andrea Schulte of Quincy; Diana McCoy and her husband Dan of St. Louis , MO and PFC Neil Schulte of Ft. Richardson, AK.
Great-Grandchildren, Peyton, Paige and Phoebe Eikel; Drew and Connor Schulte and Alexis Schulte.
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a multitude of dear friends also survive.

Frances was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Frank, three sons, David in infancy, Stanley in 1986, Frank N. (Nick) Schulte, Jr. in 1999. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Steven ( Barbara) Schulte in 1997;
a sister, Lucille Sturhahn, three brothers, Harvey, Sylvester and Godfrey “June” Wilde.

Funeral Services for Frances will be Tuesday, October 14, 2008
at 12:30 at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass at 1:00 p.m.
in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse.
Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4-7 p.m.
at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Quincy Notre Dame or Blessed Sacrament Grade School.

    Mrs. Schulte was such a friendly positive person. We enjoyed hearing her talk about her family who she loved so much. Our love and sympathy is given to the entire Schulte family.
