Florine G. Riney, age 94, of 2130 Harrison, formerly of 639 York, Quincy died on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in the home. She was born on April 4, 1916 in Adams County the daughter of Herman & Gertrude “Gertie” (Walker) Pieper. She married Walter Riney on May 28, 1967 in Columbus, IL. He preceded Florine in death on August 11, 1988.

Florine was a homemaker.

She was very generous. She loved her dogs, cats & flowers.

Florine is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Renee (James) Sazama of Bloomfield, NE; Robert (Sara) Schmidt of Kearney, NE.
ONE BROTHER: Merle (Betty) Pieper of Quincy;
ONE SISTER: Leola Spicer of Quincy;
Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husbands, Florine was also preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy, Paul Schmidt, Jr.; and one brother, Francis Pieper.

Gravside services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery by Chaplain James Riley. There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.
