Florine ‘Flo’ Sparrow
Florine M. “Flo” Sparrow, age 89, of 1528 Oak, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on July 17, 1928 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Frank & Josephine (Mast) Altgilbers. She married Elmer W. Sparrow on January 20, 1951. He survives.
Flo was a lifetime member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She enjoyed working in her yard. She also liked attending QND Football and Basketball games. Mostly, though, she loved her family and spending her time with them.

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Flo was preceded in death by her parents, 2 great-grandchildren and one brother: Joseph Altgilbers and one sister: Dorothy Janssen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at St. Francis Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame or to St. Francis Catholic School.
