Florence Knepler Obituary

Florence A. Knepler, age 96, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 8:22 PM in the Home. She was born on May 2, 1911 in Quincy, the daughter of George & Frances (Kroner) Klingele. She married William Lee Knepler on June 28, 1941 in St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1987. Mrs. Knepler was a life-long member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

She is survived by:
FOUR SONS: James L. Knepler and his wife Patricia of Ft. Myers, FL; William R. “Dick” Knepler and his wife Jane of Arlington Heights, IL; Alan E. Knepler also of Arlington Heights; & Robert G. “Bob” Knepler of Bloomington, IL.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: James Knepler, Jr. and his wife Holly Horak; Carl Knepler and his wife Allison; John Knepler and his wife Jennifer; Katherine Knepler, Lee Knepler, Kenny Knepler and Anna Knepler.
FIVE Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mary Catherine Knepler in infancy, three brothers: Hubert, Robert and Eugene Klingele and one sister: Olivia Burgess.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a Prayer service at _____ . Memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame or to the Good Samaritan Home.
