Fannie Lou Scott

Fannie Lou Scott, age 77, of Paloma, IL, formerly of 9417 Columbus Road, died on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 7:04 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on October 2, 1934 in Hull, IL, a daughter of Alva & Fannie (Kinkade) Wright. She married Archie L. Scott on March 9, 1954 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death.

Fannie worked at Motorola until 1976. She later worked for 15 years for Walmart and retired as the manager of the snack bar. She loved playing the Illinois Lottery scratch-off tickets. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She adored her dog “Buddy” and cat “Kayla”.

Fannie is survived by:
FOUR SONS, Gary Scott of Paloma, IL, Mark Scott and wife Ann of Quincy, Todd Scott and wife April of Fowler, IL and Jason Scott and wife Amy of Dallas, TX
NINE GRANDCHILDREN: Cray Scott and fiancee Jessica Schuette, Breanne Scott, Holly Scott, Maren Scott, Madison Scott, Gracie Scott, Carter Scott, Tyler Scott and Jacob Scott
FIVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive

In addition to her husband, Archie, she was preceded in death by brothers, Alva Wright, Gary Wright and Alfred Wright and sisters, Leola Gallaher, Dorothy Anderson, Leila Gully, Rosalie Wright, Hazel Wright and Marjorie Wright.

Services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Akers Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. www.dukerandhaugh.com

    So sorry for the loss of your mother, she will be deeply missed. Remember the good times it will help you through the rough times, always keep her in your heart, as she will always be with you. I know when things seem overwelming I just remember Daddy it’s gotten me through many of days.
