F. Deane Cupp
F. Deane Cupp, age 84, of Sunset Home, formerly of 443 North 30th Street, Quincy, died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. in the Home. She was born November 10, 1925 in Rutledge, Missouri, a daughter of John Leslie and Goldie C. (Swearingen) Gilmer.
She worked at Motorola for more than twenty years and was a city bus driver for twenty two years before her retirement.
Deane enjoyed playing shuffleboard, dancing, and spending time with her family.
She was also a St. Louis Cardinal and Chicago Bulls fan.
Survivors include:
ONE SON: Glenn Cupp of Quincy;
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: William W. Weatherford and his wife Diana, Kayla Diane Cupp, and Laura Deane Cupp;
ONE GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER: Lyndale Weatherford;
ONE SISTER: Donna Rampy and her husband Don of Quincy.
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Deane was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Walter Raymond Mines, Jr., a daughter, Linda Diane Cupp, a brother, Dallas “Bud” Swearingen, and a sister, Fern Anspaugh.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Timothy A.White. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Humane Society or to Paw Pals.
