Everett D. Goodwin

Everett David Goodwin, age 83, of 708 Washington St., Quincy, died on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Sycamore Heathcare Centre. He was born on March 19, 1929 in Quincy, a son of Frank & Lulu (Sherman) Goodwin. He first married Dorothy Miller (Glassford) and later married Arlene Bollman.

Everett retired from the City of Quincy where he worked on the sanitation crew. Prior to that he had worked at Brower Manufacturing.

He was of the Baptist faith. Everett took great pride in taking care of his yard, he enjoyed fishing and he loved teasing people.

He is survived by his children, David J. Goodwin and his wife Glenda of Hannibal, MO, Frankie Goodwin and his wife Pat, Robert Goodwin and his wife Debbie, Loretta Hulett and her husband Joel; Terry Goodwin and his wife Sherri all of Quincy and Joseph Goodwin of Moses Lake, WA; twelve grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and two step grandchildren survive along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Edna Lu Morse; a daughter Trudy Goodwin; a granddaughter, Abigail Goodwin; a great-grandson, Jacob Landis and a great granddaughter, Miracle Goodwin.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery by Rev. Keith Garner. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside service. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
