Evelyn Nancy Burchette, age 91, of Good Samaritan Home, Quincy, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the Home. She was born on October 1, 1921 in Corpus Christy, TX, a daughter of Sam S. Burchette & Frances (Brown) Leighty.

E. Nancy attended St. Rose of Lima Grade School in Quincy and was a 1940 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. She took business courses at Quincy College and was an ER receptionist at Blessing Hospital until her retirement in 1989.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Quincy. She was also a member of the Quincy Business Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Clyde Leighty.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Quincy Memorial Park by Rev. Paul Fraser. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
