Evelyn L. Stanberry

Evelyn L. Stanberry, age 76, of Quincy, died on Monday, July 21, 2014 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on December 19, 1937 in South Pekin, IL, a daughter of John O. & Velma (Bryant) Ball. She married Myron L. Stanberry on August 14, 1954 in South Pekin, IL. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1994.

Evelyn was of the Christian faith.

She retired from Hardee’s Restaurant on 12th & Locust.

She is survived by:
ONE DAUGHTER, Brenda Gramc of Quincy
ONE SON, Marty Stanberry and his wife Carolyn of Quincy
TEN GRANDCHILDREN, Regina (Walter) Houghton, MacKenzie (Amy Jo) Smith, Gary Stephenson, Angela (fiance, John Farris) Stephenson, Terry (fiancee Felicia Cox) Stephenson, Lisa (Rob) Cook, Tiffany (Martin) Vahle, Joseph (fiancee, Amber Perez) Stanberry, Jack Guthrie & Jeff Kendrick;
ONE BROTHER, John O. “Jack” Ball
TWO SISTERS, Velma “Mert” Wertz & Sandra Lohnes
Numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews also survive

In addition to her husband, Myron, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Rodney Stanberry in infancy; a sister Jenny Miller and a brother, Clarence Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Quincy National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph’s Indian School, Chamberlain, SD or to a charity of the Donor’s Choice.
