Evelyn R. Dietrich, age 90, of Quincy, died on Sunday, December 24, 2023 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1933 in Adams County, IL the daughter of Henry and Mary (Herzog) Reckers. She married Raymond S. Dietrich on April 7, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2011.

Evelyn was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. At the church, she was a member of the Ladies Society and the Merry Widows group.

Evelyn is survived by:
HER CHILDREN: Linda (Dave) Windoffer of Payson, Dennis ‘Gus’ (Jeanne) Dietrich of Quincy and Laurie Dietrich also of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Anita (Brock) Arnold, Shelly (Eric) Zengel, Amber (Nick) Wiemelt and Heather (Devin) Buss.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Zach and Zoey Arnold, Gena, Nathan and Henry Zengel, Gwen and Grace Wiemelt with an additional Wiemelt great-grandchild due in January; and Hannah, Ethan and Nolan Buss.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Alta (Albert) Mettemeyer, Irene (Roy) Klauser, Laura (William) Unmisig, Viola (Vern) Chillion, Dorothy (Herman) Wand, Merle (Francis) Reckers, Ralph (Rita) Reckers and Wilbur (Vivian) Reckers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
