Ethel Veronica Woods

Ethel Veronica Woods age 91, formerly of Cicero, IL died on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the North Adams Home, Mendon, IL. She was born March 1, 1921 in Chicago, IL a daughter of John Edgar and Ethel Cecelia (Archambault) Grogan. She married Robert Woods, and he preceded her in death.

Ethel worked for many years in Sales.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Ethel lived her life with a spirit of generosity and a sense of compassion for others.

Survivors include her children, Patrick Woods of Quincy, IL; Jessica Joan (Bruce) Rueppel of San Mateo, CA; grandchildren, Charles H. Woods and his wife Toni of McHenry, IL; Shawn P. Woods and his wife Angie; Jeffrey W. Woods and his wife Amber all of Quincy, IL, Sheila M. McCall of HoHokus, NJ, Jay M. McCall of Brookfield, WI and Lynette & Sandy Woods of Chicago, IL.
Great-Grandchildren, Vincent, Victoria, Nolan, Ashlyn, McKenzie, Ethan, Natalie, Aden, Fiona & Rowan.
Two sisters, Gladys Rogers and Margaret Simmons; a son-in-law, Bernard McCall and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ethel Ann McCall, a son Robert H. Woods, nine of her siblings, and her longtime companion, Daniel C. Caligure.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Roy Bauer. Interment will be Monday, February 11, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Susan G.     Im very sorry for your loss.I have alot of fond memories of her .I used to visit her years ago in Cicero and we would chat for hours.Our prayers are with you and your families..
