Erin Moore

Erin Reed Parks Moore entered the world on June 14, 1977 in Atlanta, GA and she left us on August 14, 2024. Erin grew up in Michigan and loved to share her childhood memories and traditions from home with her friends. Erin had a lot of passions in life: family, theater, horses, gardening, international cooking and traveling. Those close to Erin knew she was always bringing food, gifts and stories of her latest adventures with a smile to share.

Her greatest passion in life was her 3 boys Hudson, Roger and John, her 3 musketeers. Erin was a great preschool and kindergarten teacher and loved teaching before becoming a mother, but her greatest joy was being a mother. Erin enjoyed volunteering and being a member of the Adams County Medical Alliance.

Erin is survived by her parents John and Janet Parks of Michigan.
A sister Eileen (Adam) Craven and nephews and niece AJ, Matthew and Elizabeth Craven of Michigan.

Erin has many loving family members, including her grandfather and grandmother John and Monica Parks of FL, and great aunt Irene Ciul of GA. Several close immediate aunts, uncles and cousins will also remember and honor her memory.

While living in Quincy, IL Erin worked with local charities and communities, volunteering her time to a variety of organizations. A project close to Erin’s heart and her love for the education of children was the Quincy Children’s Museum.

A donation in her memory is suggested to The Quincy Children’s Museum www.quincychildrensmuseum.org/donate

To honor Erin’s memory, family and friends are invited to join her family at the Lorenzo Bull House on Saturday, September 7th, between 1:00-4:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Lorenzo Bull House 1550 Maine St. Quincy, IL 62301.

I remember meeting Erin when the boys first came to St Francis School. We were on the parking lot waiting to pick up kids. She was so easy to talk to. We would continue talking each time we saw each other at school and baseball games. I pray for her boys Hudson, Roger and John and the rest of her family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Erin. I always enjoyed our talks when she would pick John up from preschool a few years ago. Prayers and hugs for all three boys.

I remember chatting with Erin at the YMCA, several years ago, while our young kiddos were doing swimming lessons…the family was preparing to take a Disney trip and I was excited for them. She was a very friendly, kind lady; I wasn’t surprised to learn from her that she was a former teacher, as was I.
I was shocked to see she passed, as she is only 5 years older than me. I will be praying for her family’s and friends’ broken hearts to heal quickly. Rest in eternal peace, Erin.

Erin had such a sweet heart…a tragic loss. It was always so good to see her when she was able to make it back to Michigan for family functions.
Our prayers go up for Hudson, Roger and John and the rest of the family who are mourning the loss of Erin. May God’s Peace and healing be with all at this very sad time and the days ahead.
      With much love,
      Tino and Debby Barrera
