Eric N. Ennen
Eric N. Ennen, age 65, of 2036 Madison Street, Quincy, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on December 14, 1943 in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Frieda Luella Ennen. He married Jean Turner on March 25, 2000 in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.
Eric was a member of the Lutheran Church of St. John.
He owned and operated Ennen Automotive in Quincy for 25 years.
Eric was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served in the 126th Supply and Service Company from 1968-1969 in Vietnam Chulai.
He was a member of Tri-State Car Club, he served on the board of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Quincy Landlords Association. He enjoyed dancing with the Quincy Boot Kickers.
In addition to his wife Jean, survivors include:
ONE SON: Terry Callison and his wife Deanna of Rolla, MO;
ONE DAUGHTER: Erin Katheryn Wingler of Ewing, MO;
ONE SISTER: Carla Farris of Fort Worth, TX;
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Johnathan & Lauren Callison
Eric was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lutheran Church of St. John by Rev. Jeremy Latzke. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Church of St. John or the Illinois Veterans Home Activities Fund.

So sorry to hear about Eric. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. I never really knew him but my Mom (Edith Ennen Phillips)talked about him alot. So glad he got to come to her visitation last year, it meant alot. I’m sure they are now catching up on old times together. Cherish all the memories you have & remember he’s in a better place than we are.

sorry to here about Eric’s passing. He was a great guy and a good customer to us here at the radiator shop. He loved the collector cars and we had many conversations on owning rental property. He will be truly missed. If there is anything we can do to the family please let us know.
