Emily M. Roberts, age 85, of 1631 Wilmar Dr, died on Octboer 18, 2016 in the Good Samaritan Home. She was born on March 10, 1931 in Harrisburg, IL the daughter of Chester and Helen (Jones) Goodpaster. She married Thomas Raymond Roberts on May 12, 1951. He survives.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a former long-time member of the Church of St. Peter. She enjoyed gardening and the St. Louis Cardinals. Her husband was the love of her life and her greatest joy was all the time spent with her family.

FIVE CHILDREN: Steve Roberts and his wife Ann of St. Louis, MO; Lynne Scholz and her husband George of Quincy; Nancy Allen of Quincy; Mary Ellen Goodwin of Quincy and Susan Zettler and her husband Matt of Winter Park, FL.
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN: Ben Roberts, Sarah Roberts, Corey Scholz, Brittany Austin and her husband Ethan; Lauren Thomas and her husband Ben; Madison Allen; Brennan Goodwin; Brooke Kodman and her husband Tim
THREE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Henry and Owen Thomas and Logan Kodman.
SIX SISTERS: Alice Wellman; Elaine Yager: Jeanne Dolph and her husband Bob; Barbara Lewis and her husband Terry; Sara Bittorf; and Toni Tully and her husband Terry.
A BROTHER-IN-LAW: Bob Amburn
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters: Helen Amburn and Judy Leonard.

A Memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the memorial mass. Donations may be made to Berrian School John Tignor Scholarship Trust in the memory of Emily M. Roberts. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
