Ellen Schutte, age 79, of 1729 Highland LN, died on April 27, 2017 in her home. She was born on November 17, 1937 in Quincy the daughter of Carl & Mabel (Fleming) Schutte. Ellen worked as a legal secretary for Gardner-Denver for 32 years.

Ellen was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Quincy College. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a former long-time member of St. John Catholic Church.
Ellen enjoyed golf, quilting and participating in her water exercises.

She is survived by:

A SISTER-IN-LAW: Sandy Schutte of Quincy
NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Cindy Paul; Donna Wegs; Greg Wiewel and his wife Denise; Karen Holtschlag and her husband Mark; Cheryl Haxel and her husband Phil; Janice Guthrie and her husband Dave; Jeff Schutte and his wife Ann; Steve Schutte and his wife Leanne; Brad Schutte and his wife Stacy; and Doug Schutte.
Numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives also survive.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Ed Schutte and Jim Schutte, a great-niece Kelli Paul and great nephew Darrin Wegs.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
