Elizabeth Eudene “Jonnie” Weise

Elizabeth Eudene “Jonnie” Weise, age 91, of 901 Adams, died on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM in her home. She was born on June 15, 1922 in Albany, KY the daughter of John M. & Versie (Hopkins) Branham. She was a graduate of Clinton Co. High School. She married Maurice C. Weise on February 14, 1942 in Nashville, TN. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1993.

Mrs. Weise settled in Quincy after WWII and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Altar Society.

She is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: John Weise and his wife Florence of Collinsville, IL; Joseph Weise and his wife Carolyn of Quincy; James Weise and his wife Karen of Quincy; Libby Naderhoff and her husband David of Quincy; and Cathy Kuehl and her husband Kevin of Waupaca, WI
ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Louise Perry; Gunnery Sgt. Hugh Weise; Maria O’Brien and her husband Eric; Joseph Weise; Susan Job and her husband Gabriel; Andrew Weise and his wife Danielle; Barbra Weise; Joanne Arbogast and her husband Andrew; Edward Weise and his wife Jessey, Thomas Weise, and Raina Eston and her husband Kendrick.
FOURTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
1 SISTER-IN-LAW: June Weise of Carlinville, IL and
3 BROTHERS-IN-LAW: Joseph Schmidt of Quincy, Julius Gavelek of Miami, FL and Carvin Tallent of Albany, KY.
4 Nieces, along with several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Betty Joyce Branham Tallent.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 with a Prayer services at 6:00. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.

    Very sorry and saddened to hear of Aunt Jonnie’s passing. I still recall our family visits to Quincy in the early 60’s; they were very good times. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
