Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Zwick

Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Zwick age 88, of Quincy died on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Blessing Hospital. Betty was born on February 9, 1933 in Quincy, a daughter of Clem and Alice (Hermann) Strieker. She married Robert J. Zwick on September 11, 1954 in Quincy’s St. Mary Catholic Church.

Betty was a homemaker, she also had worked in the Classified Department at the Quincy Herald Whig and the Marking Room at the former State Street Store. She was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School.

Betty was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Her memberships included Spring Lake Country Club and the Quincy Saddle Club.
Betty was an avid card player participating in Bridge and Pinochle Clubs.

Betty loved her family. Betty was a fun, hands-on Mom who lived life to the fullest.
She is remembered as a caregiver for not only her children, but for taking care of her mother and sister when they became ill.
She was a giver to all-of her family and friends. Betty loved vacations, cooking, sewing, her Bridge clubs, riding horses and spoiling her grandkids. She also liked crocheting, kitting, and her stitch n’ bitch groups.

Survivors include her children, Vicky Mitchell and her husband Dick; Judy Junkerman and her husband Rick; Dr. Christian Zwick and his wife LeAnn, and Joseph Zwick.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Dr. Jamie Young and her husband Aaron; Angie Serandos and her husband Ryan; Bob Mitchell and his wife Ashley; Nick Junkerman and his wife Amy; Gabrielle Zwick; Christian (Alyssa Shephard) Zwick III.
NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Nolan; Aila, and Sadie Young; Ella and Bennett Slater; Zayne and Xander Mitchell; Katelyn, Taven and Ellie Serandos.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, Irene Oliver and Rosemary Strieker, brothers, Bob, Lee, and Fred Strieker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church
by Rev. Steven Arisman. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Francis.

Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE, St. Francis Church or Quincy Humane Society.
