I remember Aunt Eleanor as being a very kind and cheerful woman when I was very young. My dad was Uncle Frank’s youngest brother and when we would visit Quincy we always looked forward to visiting Uncle Frank and Aunt Eleanor,s house. They would send us out to pick rasberries and we ate just about as many we picked. Those were very favorable times and wonderful memories. I was able to visit with Viola here in Kansas City several years back before she died but have not seen Linda in many years. I will keep you all in my prayer. Jay Peters.
Aunt Eleanor, as we called her, was my dad’s Aunt. My father was William Frank Weidemann, son of Alfred (Eleanor’s older brother).
She came down to visit her daughter Viola and they stopped by our house in Plano, Tx. It was really fun to meet her. We shared some family stories and she played the piano for us. We stayed in touch with Christmas cards. It was also nice to meet Viola who paid a second visit and saw my father (who was visiting) before his untimely death. It was really neat to see those two cousins greet each other after so many years. I am grateful to have met them both. Rest in peace, with our Lord Jesus.
Sincerely,
Rick Weideman
