Eino J. Rauman

Eino J. Rauman, age 94, of Quincy, died on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in his home. He was born on January 31, 1930 in Dekalb, IL, the son of John and Mary (Silvast) Rauman. Eino married Becky J. Craft on April 17, 1976, in Joliet. She survives.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Eino was a maintenance mechanic at Commonwealth Edison for thirty years.

Eino was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. He loved all sports involving a ball, especially Quincy University football and baseball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Kim (David) Matuszewski, Rory Rauman, Pam Wilhelm, Gaelyn Sutton, Angie (Terry) Newell, and Erica (Jeff) Alexander; grandchildren: Jonathan Varju, Jason Newell, Austin Sutton, Caine Sutton, Eli Wilhelm, Jacob Alexander and Matthew Alexander; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Eino was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
Interment in Quincy Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
