Eileen Ethel Daly, 56, of Redington Shores, FL, formerly of Quincy, died on Sunday, March 18, 2012. She was the daughter of Isabelle Marie and Thomas Patrick Daly.

Born on October 31, 1955, Eileen attended both St. Peter’s School and Notre Dame in Quincy. She graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where she majored in recreation.

Eileen lived in Florida for the past 32 years. She loved nature and had a particular interest in Florida native plants and birds. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time at the beach, swimming and shelling. Eileen was very creative and had a knack for arranging flowers and decorating Christmas trees.

Eileen is survived by her mother, Isabelle Daly, a brother Bob Daly (Lynn), and a sister Mary Beth McGee (Aurie) all of Quincy. Three sisters residing out of Quincy; Barbara Fincher (Bob) of Louisville, KY, Nancy Ridenour (David) of Dunedin, FL, and Diane Daly (Jim Jackson) from London, England. She is also survived by her close friend, Jo Ellen Temple, of Redington Shores, FL. Eileen had numerous nieces and nephews. These include: Erin Knapheide (Bo), Jessica Collier, Christine Collier, Marty McGee, Shannon Longfellow (Jeff), Brittany Daly, Nathan Daly, Alyssa Daly, and Joshua Daly.

Preceding Eileen in death were her father, Thomas Daly, and both her paternal grandparents, Ethel and Edward Daly and maternal grandparents, Isabelle and Cyprian Urich.

A Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Peter’s Church in Quincy, IL on Friday, March 23rd at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Roy Bauer officiating. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. at the church until the time of services. Memorials may be made to Quincy Notre Dame Foundation in the name of Eileen Daly. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
