Edith L. Altrogge
Edith L. Altrogge, age 97, of St. Vincent’s Home, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in the home. She was born on July 18, 1918 in Quincy, a daughter of Frank & Caroline (Stegeman) Altrogge.
Edith was a graduate of St. Francis Grade School and Quincy Notre Dame.
She worked for many years as a secretary for Bybee Insurance, Inc. retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and volunteered for the Ladies of Charity.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Altrogge.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Bo & I were so sorry to hear of Edith’s passing, after the fact. We would have liked to have attended the services. Edie was such a sweet lady. We have fond memories of her & what she did for us and our children. Our deepest sympathy the family.
