Eddie “Roamaine” Blanchett
Eddie “Roamaine” Blanchett, age 75, of Marcelline, IL, died on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at 7:43 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1939 in Macon, MO, a son of Wilbur & Mable (Cupp) Blanchett. He married Cherrie Courtois on March 9, 1962 in Quincy. She survives.
Roamaine served in the United States Navy. He worked in maintenance for Colt Industries for several years. He later went to work for Quincy Medical Group and it was from there that he retired.
Roamaine enjoyed sports, especially St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Cherrie, he is survived by three sons, Mark Blanchett of Harrisonville, MO, Max Blanchett and his friend Kristen of Marcelline, IL and Eddie Blanchett and his friend Jennifer of Quincy;
three grandchildren, Kassondra, Jared & Collin Blanchett;
2 great-grandchildren, Ayden Collins & Colton Calfee;
his mother & father-in-law, Dale & Carlene Courtois of IL;
three brothers, Wilford Mounce of CA, Junior (Linda) Blanchett of AZ & Dayle (Linda) Blanchett of OK; one sister, Kathleen (John) Knous of Petersburg, IL and a sister-in-law, Keli Blanchett of OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Gene, Charles & Paul Blanchett.
Private funeral services are being held.
I just wanted to say that’s my uncle was a great person and even tho I didn’t get to know him well enough i always keep and still do close to my heart believe it or not I love all my Blanchett side everyone R.I.P
