Earl L. Schemenauer, age 91, of the Illinois Veterans Home, died on Sunday, October 10, 2010 in the home. He was born on November 13, 1918 the son of John & Flossie Schemenauer and Fannie Mae Coles. He married Irene Kemper who preceded him in death. Mr. Schemenauer was a Yard Master for the Penn Central Railroad. He was a graduate of Ohio University. Earl served in the United States Army.

His survivors include:
FOUR STEP-CHILDREN: Gerald “Jerry” Price and his wife Helen, Shirley Pugh, Nancy Swiegart and her husband Dan, and Nellie Demond and her husband Phil.

Cremation rites were accorded. A burial will take place at a later date in Ohio. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
