Dorothy Mast

Dorothy Elizabeth Mast, age 91, of Fowler, IL, died on Saturday, February 11, 2017 in her home. She was born on January 30, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Robert & Josephine E. (Huber) Klauser. She was a graduate of St. Francis Grade School. She married Carl A. Mast on December 28, 1946 at St. Francis Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1997.

Dorothy was an awesome mother and homemaker who provided a nurturing home for her family. She always enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved being outdoors caring for the cattle. She worked at Motorola as an electronic motherboard assembler. She also worked in the cafeteria at Moorman Manufacturing until her time of retirement. She was a woman of deep faith as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life-long member of the Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by:
EIGHT CHILDREN: Jeanette (Terry) Ulrich; Ann (Jon) Faubel; Stephen (Theresa) Mast; Teresa (Ray) Bockhold; Christine Russell; Ted (Joyce) Mast; Maria (Steve) Doellman Eckert; and Chuck (Joan) Mast.
27 Grandchildren; 32 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; 2 sons-in-law: Donald Russell and Floyd Doellman; 6 brothers: Ernie, Robbie, Leonard, Harold, Alvin, and Jackie Klauser in infancy and 2 sisters: Mildred Schreacke and Bernice Bockhold.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 9:15 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Sorry to here about Dorothy
    I’m shure her and Carl have a lot to catch up on We always enjoyed seeing everyone there on the farm when we came out west she was a great host our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family sorry I cant make it there I like coming to Illinois God Bless
