Doris E. Dieker
Doris E. Dieker, age 95, of Ursa, died on January 30, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1926 in Quincy the daughter of Kenneth and Estella (Bradford) Yoe. She married Joseph Dieker on Aug. 28, 1948, in St. John’s Catholic Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2009.
Doris was a legal secretary for many attorneys and also for Judge Hunter in the Quincy area over the years. Along with her husband, she was also co-owner of Schemming’s Clothing Store. Most recently, she made pies, cakes and other desserts for O’Shea’s. Doris was always up for a good political discussion. Let’s go Brandon.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses at Blessing’s 6th Floor North, the Skilled Nursing Unit and Blessing Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Doris.
Doris loved her family more than anything. Doris was a perfect mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by:
HER CHILDREN: Jeff (Robin) Dieker; Jody (Noel) Cooper, Jan (Stan) Whelan and Joye Dell (Larry) Baker; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy Dieker and Kenny Dieker, Alison Cooper (fiancé Jon Ducharme) and McKenna (Josh) Bunjan and Jennifer (Seth) Knox, Jessica (Cory) Landwehr, Julie Whelan and James (Brooklyn) Whelan and Bobby (Kelly) Baker and Katie (Michael) Cash
ten great-grandchildren, Caroline Knox and Kendall Knox, Mason Landwehr, Addalyn Landwehr and Annastyn Landwehr, Kaleb Whelan, Jaiden Whelan, and Luke Whelan; Lily Baker and Kinsey Baker.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her husband, Doris was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bill Yoe.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in New Providence Cemetery in Ursa. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
