Dora Elizabeth ‘Dodie’ Doellman
Dora Elizabeth ‘Dodie’ Doellman, age 90, of Quincy, died on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in her home. She was born on January 15, 1932 in Quincy, the daughter of Floyd and Mary (Hutmacher) Rose. Dora was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She married George Leonard Doellman on June 9, 1956 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He survives. Dora was a homemaker but she had worked at the Illinois Bell Company and as a cook at St. Mary Grade School. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
Dora liked quilting, cooking and baking. In her younger years, Dora learned how to bake at her Uncle Frank’s Bakery, Broadway Bakery. She made the wedding cakes for all of her children and many, many birthday cakes for her family over the years.

HER CHILDREN: Maria (Dennis) Bingheim; Jane (Tom) Wolf; Andrew (Teresa) Doellman; and Kathy (Jerry) Harland all of Quincy.
DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Maria (Steve) Doellman Eckert of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: David Doellman of St. Louis, MO; Melissa (Julia Brown) Doellman of Tarrytown, NY; Amanda (Brendan) Harman of St. Louis, MO; Michelle Bingheim of Poplar Bluff, MO; Elizabeth Wolf; Erin (Jacob) Dietrich; Nicholas (Tassie) Doellman; Ashley (Matthew) Bilgri; Christopher Harland and Matthew Harland all of Quincy.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Grayson Doellman, Brocton Doellman and Jaxton Dietrich and a Bilgri great-grandchild on the way.
SIBLINGS: Mary Bradfield; Clarence Rose, and Theresa Lorenson.
SISTER-IN-LAW: Margie Rose
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her parents, Dora was also preceded in death by a son Floyd Doellman, a granddaughter Stacey Doellman in infancy and siblings: Joseph Rose, Charles Rose, Gerald Rose, Jane Meyer and Shirley Hultz.
The family would like to thank Dora’s home health aide, Nancy Baum, along with the staff of the Blessing Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
