Donald P. Schuering

Donald P. Schuering, age 83, of 3014 Lincoln Hill NE, died on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on July 17, 1937 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of George and Florence Schuering. He married Carol J. Kill on October 31, 1959. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2016.

Don was an auto salesman in the Quincy area for many years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Don liked playing cards and golf.

Don is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Leanne Schutte and her husband Steve of O’Fallon, MO and Amy Jones and her husband Rick of Quincy
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Austin and Ashley Schutte and Ethan and Ian Jones.
SIBLINGS: Ed Schuering and Madelyn O’Brien.

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive

In addition to his wife, Don was also preceded in death by a sister: Maxine Swain.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
