My deepest sympathy Janice and family. May he RIP. Such a nice guy.
Uncle Donny and Aunt Janice are the two names that I think about whenever I think about seeing extended family on trips to Quincy. Because they were everywhere. They raised four amazing boys that flanked me in age and are responsible for virtually every childhood memory of family gatherings, whether at holiday gatherings at my grandparents house, countless Wiemelt weddings that still are talked about today, to the Knapheide picnic, where I last saw my great uncle working the burger line. He was always doing something for family, for the community, for anyone. As we’ve all gotten older, we’ve grown apart and I haven’t seen him in a few years. But even so, a visit with him was always like we had just seen each other. I’m so sorry to Aunt Janice, the boys, the spouses and families, and everyone. I’ll miss you Uncle Donny, but I’m thankful for the great life you lived and the awesome impact your life had on so many of us. Rest in peace!
Dear Family – I am sorry for your loss – I wish you peace
Janice & boys. I of have many fond memories of Don from St. John’s. John worked with Don on many St. John projects. Such a nice guy. The two of you were an awesome couple. And you raised great boys. I know he will be missed. I’m hoping John met him in Heaven! My sympathy & prayers.
Janice and boys, I was a classmate of Don. Don and I always got along. He was a very kind person all the time! Having left Quincy in 1972, I did not keep up with him or any classmates. But I will always remember Don now every time I see a Knapheide truckbed in Texas (of which are too numerous to count). I will be praying for y’all through this difficult time.
