Donald F. Geiser

Donald F. Geiser, age 81, of Quincy, died on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on July 19, 1940 in St. Louis, MO the son of Fred and Katherine (Whelan) Geiser. Don was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame and had attended Quincy University. He was the owner and operator of the Quincy Dairy Queen stores for over 30 years. Prior to that, Don had been in the grocery business and had also owned Geiser’s Battery Shop.

Don was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Don was a member of the Elks Club and the Rocky Point Club. He also enjoyed boating.

Don is survived by:
HIS LONG TIME COMPANION: Judith Graff
CHILDREN: Dion Geiser (Barb), Michael Geiser (Missy Homan), Patty Luker and Nancy Martinez all of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Nikki Buehler (Ryan), Jessica Fusselman-Moechnig (David), Adam Fusselman, Mollie Duffy (SSG Chris), Emily Fusselman, Dominic Geiser,
Joey Fusselman (Elexis), Susan Geiser, Deanna Cutforth (Dillon), Greg Luker, SSG Brendon Luker and Jordan McPhail. And twenty-nine great grandchildren also survive.
TWO SIBLINGS: Janet Goodwin (Bill) and Barbara Goodwin (Mike).
Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and members of the Thompson family also survive.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Steve Geiser along with his wife Joyce.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 9:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network.
